Old Bears Everywhere

In 1986 there was a UFO crash landing, that hit very precisely into a garage owned by Willie Tanner of California (San Fernando Valley to be exact). The alien was from the planet Melmac. He was short, covered in fur, friendly yet sarcastic with no way to get home, so the Tanner family adopted him, naming him Alf (Alien life form).

The much-loved American comedy sitcom, ran from 1986 to 1990 and was created by Tom Patchett and puppeteer Paul Fusco, with in total 102 episodes. Notoriously difficult to shoot, a thirty minute show could take as long as 20-25 hours, making it gruelling for the cast and production team, with the end result being amusing and enjoyable for the audience.

Yet we all remember ALF for his quick come-backs and witty remarks, making him the popular character that we know and love.

"If you love something, let it go. If it comes back to you, it's yours. If it's run over by a car, you don't want it." - Alf
