Disney - Donald Duck

Donald Duck was introduced to us in 1934 by Walt Disney. He wanted to create a friend for Mickey Mouse, who was able to express a wee bit of negativity (such as his mighty temper, to ensure that Mickey still shone good). With his more human traits, Donald, like Mickey, was anthropomorphic wearing a sailors cap and tunic in blue.

Due to his popularity and much associated and unique voice, his character began to veer off into the world of Donald, taking his beloved Daisy Duck and on occasion his three nephews, Huey, Louie and Dewey. Even his wealthy uncle Scrooge McDuck joins him.

More popular in Europe, probably due to some comics being published solely for those regions, makes him the most published comic character, (not including superheroes)in the world and he has appeared in more cartoons, than any other Disney character.

"I have put a lot of thought into it, and I just don't think being an "adult" is going to work for me" Donald Duck
